Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. I keep CalcWood practical and transparent: I collect only the data I need to run the calculators, provide PRO access, send requested results, protect the service, help users, and improve the tools.

1. Data Controller

The data controller is Tomáš Horský (Company ID: 09999451), located at Humny 346, 273 08 Pchery, Czech Republic. Contact: info@tomashorsky.com.

2. What Data I Collect and Why

2.1. PRO Subscriptions, Licenses and Access

If you purchase or use a PRO subscription, I process data needed to provide the service and manage your access: email address, customer name if provided, license key, plan type, subscription status, payment status, expiration date, country or region, last activity, and technical usage information related to the license. I use this to activate PRO features, prevent license sharing or abuse, provide support, and fulfill legal accounting obligations.

2.2. Payment Processing

I do not see or store your full credit card details. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Stripe may process payment data, billing data, fraud prevention data, and transaction identifiers according to its own privacy and security standards. I only store the information necessary to confirm payment, manage the subscription, and comply with tax and accounting obligations.

2.3. Calculator Results, Configuration Links and History

When you use the calculators, I may store technical data about the calculation, such as calculator type, language, units, country code, user type if selected, entered parameters, calculated configuration, generated configuration URL, time of use, PRO/FREE status, user ID or similar technical identifier, and email address if you provide it. I use this data to let you reopen or share a calculation, send requested results, provide support, debug errors, improve calculation logic, and understand how CalcWood is used.

2.4. Reviews and Feedback

If you submit a rating, review, or feedback, I may process your name, email address, rating, review text, calculator ID, configuration URL, country code, IP address, time of submission, approval status, and my reply. I use this to moderate reviews, reply to users, prevent spam or abuse, and improve the calculators. If your review is approved, the review content may be displayed publicly, usually together with the name you provided.

2.5. Email Delivery and Support Communication

If you request results by email, contact me, receive a reply to your review, or receive service-related emails, I process your email address and the message content necessary for that communication. For reliability and support, I may also process technical email delivery status such as sent, delivered, opened, bounced, or marked as spam. I use this only to operate the service, troubleshoot delivery issues, and provide support, not for aggressive marketing.

2.6. Product Analytics, Sharing and Partner Links

I collect internal product analytics such as number of calculations, used calculators, language, units, country, PRO feature usage, user type, returning users, shared calculator links, sharing platform, and clicks on partner links. Some partner-link logs may include time, country, target URL, and relation to a calculation log. I use this data to improve CalcWood, decide what to build next, measure partner performance, detect technical issues, and keep the service sustainable.

3. Cookies, Local Storage and Tracking

I try to keep tracking minimal. CalcWood may use essential cookies or local storage for basic functionality, remembering your cookie choice, login or access state, language preference, security, and Stripe checkout. Stripe may use its own essential security cookies to prevent fraud and process payments.

If Google Analytics or similar analytics tools are active, they are used to understand traffic and improve the website. Where required by law, non-essential analytics cookies should only be used based on your consent. I do not use Facebook Pixel or aggressive third-party advertising trackers on this microsite.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the situation, I process personal data based on one or more of these legal bases: performance of a contract (providing calculators, PRO access, results and support), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, product improvement, internal analytics, debugging and license protection), legal obligation (tax and accounting records), and consent where required (for example non-essential analytics cookies or voluntary marketing communication).

5. Data Retention

I keep personal data only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Payment, tax and accounting data may be kept for the period required by law. License and subscription data may be kept for the duration of the account or subscription and for a reasonable period afterwards for support, audit and fraud prevention. Calculator history and configuration logs may be kept while useful for service operation, support, debugging, analytics and improvement, unless you request deletion and I have no legal reason to keep them.

Security logs, IP addresses and technical anti-abuse records may be kept for a limited period necessary to protect the service. Reviews may be kept while they are displayed or needed for moderation and support. Aggregated or anonymized statistics that can no longer reasonably identify you may be kept without a fixed time limit.

6. Processors and Third Parties

To run CalcWood, I may use trusted service providers such as web hosting and database providers, Stripe for payments, email delivery providers, analytics providers, and technical infrastructure services. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service. If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, I rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

7. International Users

CalcWood is operated from the Czech Republic and the European Union, but it is available internationally. If you use CalcWood from outside the EU, you understand that your data may be processed in the Czech Republic, the EU, or by trusted service providers in other countries, always for the purposes described in this policy.

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data I hold about you.
  • Request correction of incorrect or outdated data.
  • Request deletion of your data, unless I am legally required or otherwise entitled to keep it.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Request restriction of processing or data portability where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email me at info@tomashorsky.com. I may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
